A Career Counselling and Study Abroad Guidance Session was held at St. Sebastian Church,
Bendur, on 12th October 2025 at 9:00 AM in the church meeting hall. The program was jointly
organized by the Catholic Action League (CAL) and the Catholic Sabha, in association with
Wizdom Ed – Study Abroad Experts, Mangalore.
The session began with a prayer song led by the CAL members, setting a reflective tone for the
day. Mr. Kishore Fernandes, President of the Catholic Sabha, extended a warm welcome
address, Mr. Vinod D’Souza, Vice President of the Parish Pastoral Council, introduced the

resource persons — Dr. Francisca Tej and Dr. Guru Tej, Co-founders of Wizdom Ed, well-
known for their expertise in career counselling and global education guidance.

Dr. Francisca Tej spoke on career planning and study abroad opportunities, explaining the
importance of early decision-making, understanding course options, and the documentation
required for international admissions.
Dr. Guru Tej gave a highly informative and motivating talk on global education systems,
explaining in detail the various scholarships available and the eligibility criteria to apply for
them. He also discussed strategies for choosing the right universities and managing financial
aspects efficiently.
An interactive question-and-answer session followed, during which the participants
enthusiastically raised their queries. The resource persons answered each question clearly,
providing practical insights and encouragement.
As a token of appreciation, Rev. Fr. Vivek Pinto, Assistant Parish Priest, presented mementoes
to the resource persons. Mr. Jochim Pereira was felicitated on the occasion for taking the
initiative and effort in organizing the event successfully. Ms. Anna Patrao proposed the vote of
thanks, expressing heartfelt gratitude to the speakers, parish clergy, CAL and Catholic Sabha
members, and all participants.
The session concluded on a positive note, leaving students and parents well-informed,
motivated, and inspired to explore higher education opportunities abroad with confidence and
clarity
